Hey there, I’m Shani.

A wife, mother and the founder of Sagefolk Homeopathy. I am a certified acute and fertility homeopath, currently deepening my knowledge and expanding my qualifications by studying an Advanced Practitioner of Homeopathy with RMDY Academy.

I married my partner of 9 years in a beautifully simple elopement not far from home in country Victoria, before becoming a mother to our two incredible children. They are my biggest passion and motivation in my life and in choosing this profession.

My path here grew from a love of nature and art, then natural healing, and always an inbuilt desire to help others. Homeopathy quickly became a way for me to combine my passions in art and natural health. It is fitting that one of the most influential homeopathy texts written by its founder, Samuel Hahnemann, is titled Organon of the Medical Art. The title itself speaks to the connection between art and healing that lies at the heart of homeopathy.

My passions have led me to learn and work in areas surrounding these themes - previously working in the fields of nursing, beauty therapy and photography - but it wasn’t until I discovered homeopathy that I felt I had found by biggest calling.

Sagefolk Homeopathy stemmed from a love of nature and nurturing my family holistically through natural, safe and earth-friendly means.

A few years ago, I came upon a beautiful book titled Homeopathy at a library sale. I didn’t dive into it immediately, but it sat on display in my home, quietly reminding me what was coming to me and to take notice when it does.

In early 2023, homeopathy found its way to me by other means and once it was there it couldn’t leave my mind and heart again. I soon realised it had unknowingly slipped into my life by means of tissue salts and flower essences for a long time already because of my mother’s preference for natural medicine. When I bought my first homeopathic remedy and it achieved what I’d hoped, it sparked a passion in me and I knew this is the work I’m meant to do - so I began to learn.

Our own fertility journey was where homeopathy truly became a blessing to me. During a period of trying to conceive without success, I began using the remedies I was studying and, soon after, found myself pregnant with our “homeopathy baby.”

It solidified everything I want to be able to do for others; assist them and their families in their own healing. Which is why I chose to deepen my professional knowledge. Our world needs change and the long suppressed art of homeopathy is a transformative way to help achieve that.
